# acorn hunt

Our local park did something genius. They are restoring woodlands within the park by planting acorns. What did they do? They said “hey kids, come to our visitor center to decorate a special acorn collecting bag. Then go out in the woods and collect acorns for us.” Genius! Emma loves collecting things – rocks, acorns, feathers, leaves. So of course she loved every minute of it, plus the fuzzy caterpillar we found on our walk around the lake.
