# Hello Ft. Lauderdale

We are all ready to go… but it is bad luck to leave on Friday. We moved onto the boat yesterday and got all settled in. Braden and I spent today organizing, cleaning and one last trip home to check on things.

Ethel spent the day doing what she does at home… napping.

We originally planned to leave first thing in the morning and head south to Miami. But we didn’t get some things done today that we need to get done. It looks like we have a couple days before the weather is favorable to cross to the Bahamas, so the new plan is to leave for Miami first thing Sunday morning. We’re going to go down the Intracoastal, which will take at least 2 days to get there since we have to open 26 bridges.
