This weekend was the Dakota County Fair in Farmington, MN. We watched the tractor parade, checked out the lumberjack competition and enjoyed Dippin’ Dots. We’re excited for the Minnesota State Fair that starts in two weeks! It’s one of the things we’ve been looking forward to since

rough day
Three shots and a finger prick at her 12 month doctor appointment today. The good news is this doctor was a million times better than the one we saw at her 9 month appointment. She is 22 lbs 7 oz ( 75th percentile ) 30 inches long ( 80th percentile ), and her head

We had Emma’s big birthday celebration on Saturday with family who was visiting from out of town. She didn’t get as crazy with her cake as I thought she would… but the balloons were delicious. She’s been enjoying all her new gifts. A rainbow rocker. Egg shakers.

minnehaha falls
We had a friend visiting from Florida, so we decided to try the restaurant at Minnehaha Falls. It was on our list of places to go, so now was as good a time as any… even if Emma was an hour late going to bed. I was expecting some piddly
walk in the park
We’ve been running a lot of errands the last few days, including ordering Emma’s first birthday cake! Today after we were done we spent an hour at the park. This girl can swing. We were the only ones at the park, so we did some exploring.
