summer recap

summer recap

After we got the boat ready to leave in Florida we spent some time with family before heading back to Minnesota for the summer.

As soon as we got back the girls did their yearly assessments so summer could officially begin!

We've been going non-stop since we got back to Minnesota in June, which is why I haven't posted any updates in months.

This summer we - ate lots of sourdough from my starters that I brought from the boat, fostered kittens, went to MN State Fair, took the girls to their first concert, went bowling, had sleepovers, picked strawberries, shopped, spent time at the barn, went to waterparks, swam, hatched butterflies, biked and jogged, went to a rodeo, went ice skating, celebrated 4th of July, went to the movies, got in all our doctor and dentist appointments, tried to visit all our favorite restaurants, got haircuts from a professional for the first time in years and spent lots of time with our friends.

Emma - turned 12, completed a babysitting class and a first aid class, competed with Braden in our towns annual rib competition (they came in 5th with the judges and 1st in People's Choice), played lots of volleyball and lost a couple teeth.

Olivia - went to her friends dance recital, completed the Second Lady of the United States reading challenge, went to tennis camp and spent almost every day playing with her friends in the neighborhood.

Whew! It was a busy summer, followed by a busy fall (recap coming soon).
