he wasn't kidding...

After weeks of waiting, numerous calls to the Apple Store, and two cancelled online orders Braden finally got his birthday present… the new MacBook Pro.  Guess what we’re doing tonight…

Is he trying to tell me something...?

Its hard to believe it was 18 years ago that my mom let me get this tiny kitten… Click here for some more pictures of Ethel through the years.

better late than never...

This weekend we celebrated Braden’s birthday with his mom and brother who were visiting from Ohio. First… dinner a Hokkaido ( our favorite hibachi place ).  Followed by strawberry Carvel ice cream cake. Tonight we’ll celebrate again with dinner at P.F. Changs, and another ice cream cake!

happy 18th birthday ethel!

Everything for our new kitchen has been purchased! It should get delivered in 2 – 4 weeks… and then the fun begins. This has been hanging on our fridge since my birthday last year.  Apparently it was just a year early…

Happy Birthday Braden! - Part I

One of the things I’ve really disliked in our house is the kitchen. When we bought the place we had so much other work to do that we decided to wait on redoing the kitchen. Now… its time. This is what our kitchen looks like today… This is what

more snorkeling

coming home

Black Point is an island about 7 miles south of where we are. Its a popular stop for boaters because of Lorraine’s Cafe, where Lorraine’s mom makes coconut bread. We were a little disappointed because we’re not going to make it down there and will miss out

snorkeling

The pizzas here are really good. Thin crust. Lots of toppings. Delicious! Thursdays have become one of our favorite days on the island because they are 2 for 1 pizza day.

coconut bread

When we first started on this trip we noticed right away that people living on their boat are usually in bed between 9 PM and 10 PM every night. If you’re not at a marina with access to power or cable tv there really isn’t much to do
