boqueron, puerto rico

We've been to a bunch of places in Puerto Rico, but this was our first stop on the western coast.

We rented a car for a couple days to get some much needed shopping done. While we were in Turks & Caicos the wind blew two shoes off the back of the boat. One was mine. One was Emma's. Of course it was the same foot, so we couldn't combine the shoes. We've been down 2 pairs of shoes for a while, which was really inconvenient, so I was in search of a mall where we could get some new shoes. It didn't hurt there was also a Krispy Kreme, a Chick-fil-A, a Walmart and a Sam's Club all within an hour.

Sometimes we stop in a place because we've been there before and want to go back. Sometimes we stop in a place because we want to see something new. Sometimes we stop in a place because we have to for some reason, usually weather.

Every once in a while one of those stops becomes an unexpected little gem. Boqueron is one of those places. We didn't expect much, but were surprised by the bright colors, the cute town and the lively night scene.

While we enjoyed our time in Boqueron it was time to move on. We pulled up anchor with the sun and started our journey to our next stop - the US Virgin Islands. 🇻🇮
