After a week in South Dakota it was time to start heading toward home. We didn't use the bus at all last summer, and after all the work we did to get it cleaned and ready to go we've all been talking about some more (maybe shorter) trips this summer.

The highlight of our campground were the deer right next to our camp site. One of the guys that works at the campground would feed them every night around dusk. Olivia and I could sit there for hours and watch them.

Our campsite was at the very top of a hill, so we had the perfect spot to watch 4th of July fireworks. We could see them in all directions.

One last stop before home - The Badlands National Park. Olivia got us in for free with her Fourth Grade National Parks Pass.

We're back home again and now I feel like our summer can really begin. Pancake is home too!
