british virgin islands
After almost a month in the USVI we were ready for a little change of scenery. Our sailing season is coming to an end, and we've had a lot of plans up in the air these last couple months - but we knew for sure we wanted to at least visit the BVI before our summer boat break.
First stop - Norman Island for Willy T's. This floating restaurant and bar is one of the kids favorites because they can jump from the top deck into the water over and over again.

Our friends have been talking about Little Harbor on Peter Island since we met them. We had been to a bunch of places in the BVI, but this wasn't one of them. After our stop here we totally get why they love it, and it is at the top of our list of favorite places. I could have stayed there for weeks.

While we were there we hiked up to the ruins of an old mansion.

To cool off we snorkeled in the afternoon.
After the peace and quiet of Little Harbor it was time to visit the hustle and bustle of Virgin Gorda with stops at Saba Rock and Leverick Bay. We swam in the pool, hiked some abandoned resorts, saw the moko jumbie and fire dance show and drank some fruity drinks.

We have less than a week left in the BVI before we head back to the USVI and then back to Puerto Rico. With all the crazy weather this season we've run out of time to get all the way down to Grenada, so we've decided to leave the boat in Puerto Rico again. We're soaking up the last bit of fun before the hard work of preparing the boat for the summer begins.
