thomas cay, bahamas

The Bahamas is beautiful, but the weather is annoying. About once a week a cold front comes though that makes us have to find shelter from the wind and waves. The downside is sometimes we have to leave places before we're ready. The upside is that we've found some cool places that we probably wouldn't have visited otherwise - like Thomas Cay.

We anchored here a couple days early to get a good spot. We knew it was protected and that most likely more boats would be coming in looking for shelter. The extra days gave us time to explore around the island.

We also spent an afternoon a couple islands over at Rachel's Bubble Bath, which is a kid favorite from last season.

We watched the storm we were waiting for roll in. It was a hours of on again off again wind and rain. The wind gusts got up to almost 50 mph a couple times.
