turks and caicos

turks and caicos

When we were the in the Bahamas we were moving around a lot. We usually like to spend days or weeks in one spot, but between the weather and trying to get south it felt like we were moving just about every day. At one point Braden said he just wanted to hang out in once place long enough to get tired of it. Mother Nature is making that wish come true and it looks like Turks and Caicos is going to be that place... for all of us. After being here for two weeks we're all ready to get going, but the weather has other plans for now.

Since we're not able to get moving yet we're making the best of it.

Puppy walking might have been the highlight so far. The local rescue let's volunteers walk puppies for 2 hours every morning. The girls loved it and have already asked if we can go back.

We've also been using this waiting time to get a bunch of projects done - we fixed our fridge, changed the oil in both engines, replaced a pump on the engine, hung LED lights, replaced a fan, repaired a leaking paddleboard... and the list goes on and on.

We're checking the weather every day. As soon as the wind and waves let up long enough for us to get to Dominican Republic (or beyond) we'll be out of here. But in the meantime we're thankful we're stuck here and not still in George Town.
